KARACHI, Jan 8: Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman directed the traffic police authorities to reserve one lane of roads for ambulances to save precious lives. The chief secretary stressed the need for strict implementation of the orders issued in 2004-05 in this regard.
He advised the provincial secretary to coordinate with the traffic police authorities to ensure a specified traffic lane for hospital going vehicles particularly to the NICVD, JPMC, NICH, Kidney Centre and Civil Hospital.
The chief secretary asked the DIG Traffic to ensure surveillance of fixed lanes on roads and monitor the duties and functions of the traffic police personnel.
