ED vows to make Pims state-of-the-art health facility

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) Executive Director (ED) Dr Naeem Malik has assured non-gazetted employees of the hospital that his doors will always remain open to address their issues.

“I want to make Pims a state-of-the-art facility where everyone would get hassle free treatment,” he said while speaking to a delegation of employees at a meeting.

Those who attended the meeting included Irfan Iqbal, Malik Tahir Awan, Waseem Irshad Gujjar and Tanveer Noshai. Dr Naeem, who is a cardiologist, advised the staff to strictly follow the timings and assured them that he will always be available to address their issues.

The employees informed the ED that houses in Pims Colony were allotted against merit, and demanded that these should be allotted as per seniority.

They said in the past seniority list was ignored and a number of houses were allotted to employees on the basis of nepotism.

Dr Naeem said he did not believe in nepotism and will ensure merit in all matters of the hospital.

“Just ensure that you would fulfil your duty and I will ensure that you don’t face any difficulty,” he said.
