Five killed in Mazar-i-Sharif

ISLAMABAD, Oct 15: The United Nations said on Monday that five civilians were killed when a US bomb fell near a crowded market in the northern Afghan city of Mazar-i-Sharif.

UN spokeswoman Stephanie Bunker said one woman and four men were killed when a bomb dropped on Friday by United States warplanes hit the centre of the city, close to the market and government offices.
