All set for DBA polls

FAISALABAD, Jan 4: All is set for the District Bar Association elections to be held here on Thursday (today). The three candidates in the field for the DBA presidential slot concluded their campaigns with claims of reasonable support. They belong to the Jat clan. Chaudhry Talib Husain Chattha, a former member of the Punjab Bar Council, claims to have the support of senior and junior lawyers. Similarly, Nasir Ali Goraya also has a good vote bank though he is in the field for the first time.

Asghar Ali Randhawa, a retired school headmaster, is not in a position to upset the elections but he claims to have links with lawyers.

Muhammad Shabbir Raza, Muhammad Iqbal Azeemi and Ibaid Ali Ibad are in the race for the vice-president office while Rana Musharraf Ali Khan and Muhammad Shahid Lodhi are vying for the secretary seat. — Staff Correspondent
