NAWABSHAH: Coldest day in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH, Jan 4: Nawabshah experienced the coldest day of last ten years as mercury dropped to —1°C on Wednesday. The district is known for its summers when temperature normally rises to 52°C. But this year it observed the coldest day in 10 years.

An official of the Met office said temperature on Tuesday was recorded 0°C which further reduced to minus 1°C on Wednesday.

Daily activities were affected badly as people preferred to stay inside their houses.

The Met office said the cold spell would continue for two to three days.
