PESHAWAR: The Khyber Medical University has completed the admission process for medical and dental colleges of the province.
Admissions for all the merit-based and self-finance MBBS and BDS seats in the public sector colleges have been completed and the final list displayed on the varsity’s website. A total of 825 seats were filled in 10 government medical colleges in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a press release issued here on Saturday. It said the open merit started from aggregate 96.70 per cent marks and ended at 89.56 per cent marks.
It was the first time after two years that KMU conducted entrance test in collaboration with Education Testing and Evaluation Agency and selected on merit 114 candidates on self-finance with opening aggregate marks starting from 91.77 per cent marks and closing at 88.56 per cent marks.
For five public sector dental colleges in the province, a total of 196 candidates were selected with merit starting from aggregate 90.17pc marks to 89.06pc marks, whereas 35 self-finance candidates secured 88.80pc to 87.83pc aggregate marks.
The KMU is yet to allocate seats to the students of erstwhile Fata as it is in the process of verification of their merit.
