QUETTA: Balochistan and Sindh’s chief ministers have expressed concern over recent political incidents and said the prevailing tension was harmful to democracy and democratic institutions.

Official sources said Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held a meeting on Sunday in Karachi and discussed the political situation.

They said accusations against state institutions were not in the country’s interest and those involved in the propaganda were not friends of the country.

“Unjustified criticism and accusations against the Pakistan Army are reprehensible,” they said, adding the nation stood with its armed forces.

Both chief ministers also agreed to continue mutual consultations on rehabilitating flood victims and resolve issues related to water sharing between the two provinces.
