NAWABSHAH, Dec 28: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has said more than 50,000 jobs will soon be given in different departments on merit.

Talking to journalists at the press club here on Tuesday, he said that lists of vacant posts received from DCOs and EDOs were being rechecked and after completion of the process, jobs would be announced.

He said that work in the irrigation department was being systemized. He claimed that water position was much better because tail-end growers were getting enough water.

The chief minister, accompanied by the Sindh irrigation minister, announced a grant for the Nawabshah Press Club and congratulated its newly-elected office-bearers.—Correspondent
