Govt aims at better education

OKARA, Jan 29: The Punjab government is taking special interest in improving the standard of education in the district.

This was stated by District Coordination Officer (DCO) Khalid Masood Chaudhry while inaugurating the four-day workshop organized by the Government Islamia High School with the cooperation of education ministry of the Punjab.

He said success in every field could be achieved through improving quality of education in the world of rapid change. Heads of various institutions would be trained in syllabus research and development in education, he said.

School senior headmaster Chaudhry Jamil Akhtar Javed threw light on the objectives of the workshop.

In a prize distribution ceremony of the youth hockey festival earlier, the DCO assured players that the government would extend maximum support in the maintenance of playgrounds.
