SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 18: Three passengers were killed while another sustained injuries in a road accident on Sunday near Joianwala Morr, some 8km away from here. Reports said a Sheikhupura-bound wagon (LRJ-9717) collided with a tractor-trolley (SAB-6647) near Joianwala. As a result of which woman Naheed Akhtar, her son Karam Elahi and one Abdullah were killed while a passenger, Inayat, sustained serious injuries and was removed to hospital.

Sadar police have arrested tractor-trolley driver Ehsan and impounded his vehicle. Further investigation is under way.
