QUETTA: A senior Levies official was martyred and another injured in an attack by unidentified armed men in the Mangochar area of Kalat district.
Officials said Resaldar Mohammad Hamza along with other personnel was on patrolling duty in the Johan crossing area of Mangochar late on Sunday night when armed men riding a motorcycle opened fire on their official vehicle.
As a result, Hamza and the other soldier received serious injuries. Hamza died before reaching Civil Hospital in Quetta. The banned BLA has claimed responsibility for the attack.
