Aamir grabs hat trick

LAHORE, Dec 14: A hat trick by Sufi Muhammad Aamir helped Islamabad Feeds beat Lahore Feeds 6- 4 1/2 in Adisseo Cup polo on Wednesday. Islamabad got off to a fine start 3- 1 ½ in the first chukker. Amir scored three goals for Islamabad while Lahore Feeds, which had a one and a half-goal-handicap could not score at all.

The winners increased the lead to 4- 2 1/2 as Kamran Zaidi scored a goal for them and Hussain Iftikhar drew first blood for the losers.

Both teams again scored a goal each in the third chukker as winners retained the lead 5-3 1/2.

Afzal Mahr scored for Islamabad while Faisal Qadeer Khokhar for Lahore Feeds. In the fourth chukker, Ali Malik scored a goal for Lahore while Kamran Zaidi struck for Islamabad to complete the tally.

Three two chukkers’ matches were also decided. Shahzor Feeds won two matches. First Shahzor beat Asia Feeds 4- 3 1/2.

Mohsin Atta Khan Khosa (2), Asif Tiwana (1) and Imran Abid Mir (1) were the scorers for the winners.

For the losers, who had a half goal handicap, Farid Noon, Usman Haye and Zeeshan Asaf scored a goal apiece.

In the second match, Shahzor, which had a half goal handicap, defeated Quality Feeds 5 1/2-3. Asif Tiwana scored a hat trick. Shahid Hayat and Mohsin Khosa added a goal each. For the losers, Moin Yaqub (2) and Azhar Ali (1) were the scorers.

Asia Feeds beat Quality Feeds 3-1. Javed Mawaz Khan scored two goals for the winners, who had one goal handicap. Feroze Gulzar scored the solitary goal for the losers.
