KARACHI: Patricia Almeida, mother of Norbert and Cyril Almeida — prominent journalist and former Dawn assistant editor ­— was laid to rest at the Christian cemetery off Sharea Faisal on Wednesday. She passed away at the age of 70 on Tuesday evening.

The last rites of Mrs Almeida were performed at the St. Anthony’s Church.

She is survived by two sons, daughter-in-law Dione and two grandsons, Zach and Craig.
