SUKKUR: The accountability court Sukkur has extended interim bail of former provincial minister Suhail Anwar Siyal, political secretary to Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari Jameel Ahmed Soomro, provincial ministers Syed Awais Qadir Shah and Ziaul Hassan Lanjar and MPAs Sardar Khan Chandio and Burhan Khan Chandio and others.

The judge Fareed Anwar Qazi heard the corruption reference against the suspects Soomro, Siyal and his brothers Bakht Siyal and Zafar Iqbal Siyal on Tuesday and extended their interim bail till June 30.

A day earlier, the judge had granted extension in interim bail till July 18 to Pakistan Peoples Party’s provincial ministers Syed Awais Qadir Ali Shah and Ziaul Hassan Lanjar and MPAs Sardar Khan Chandio and his brother Burhan Chandio and Nawab Rehan Khan Chandio.

They were all accused by National Accountability Bureau of accumulating assets beyond known sources of income.
