RAWALPINDI: The police department has reduced the petrol and other petroleum product quotas for top to low-ranking officers, following the government’s decision to implement measures for preservation of fuel and energy.

Furthermore, in order to cut down use of stationery, both sides of the paper will be used for printing.

In view of approval by the inspector general of police (IGP) Punjab, the directive applied on officers posted at headquarters of units like investigation, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Special Branch, Punjab Constabulary, Special Protection Unit (SPU), SPPO, Multan, Traffic, T&T and Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP).

The petrol and petroleum product quotas have been fixed with a 40pc reduction.
