OKARA: A man shaved her wife’s head, beat her and put shoes around her neck with the help of his six accomplices in village 17/1R on Tuesday.

The police said complainant Naheed married Shahadat, of 17/1R, four years ago. Her husband suspected that she had an affair with a man of Syedwala.

On Tuesday evening, Shahadat with his brothers Saleem and Buland and village men Imdad Shah, Jahangir and two unidentified persons shaved Naheed’s head, put shoes around her neck and tortured her.

Her cries attracted the locals’ attention, who rescued her. After a medico-legal report of the complainant, the Satgrah police registered a case against the suspects and arrested her husband and brother Saleem.
