KARACHI: Gangster found dead

KARACHI, Dec 8: The body of a man believed to be an associate of gang leader Arshad Pappu was found in Orangi Town on Thursday. Police said the body was found in a deserted place in the Mominabad police limits. The body bore multiple bullet wounds, police said.

The victim was identified as Ishaq Lashkari. Police said it appeared that he was shot dead elsewhere and his body was dumped in the Mominabad area.

SNATCHED: An Army official was deprived of his cellphone and other valuables in New Karachi on Thursday.

Police said four suspects on two motorcycles intercepted a private car driven by Haveldar Mehdi Khan. Police said he was heading to the house of an army major residing in Sector 9, New Karachi, in the limits of Sir Syed police station. They deprived the haveldar of cellphone and other valuables.
