Aziz Uqaili appointed Balochistan chief secretary
QUETTA: Abdul Aziz Uqaili, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, has been appointed new chief secretary of Balochistan.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division on Wednesday, Mr Uqaili will replace Mathar Niaz Rana.
Mr Uqaili was working as additional secretary (in-charge) at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives. He has served in diffident capacities in Sindh, Punjab and Islamabad. He has also worked in Pakistan’s missions abroad for eight years — as trade commissioner in Australia, as community welfare attaché in Saudi Arabia, and as first secretary and commercial counsellor in Malaysia.
