ISLAMABAD: The interim Constitution is expected to be adopted with an overwhelming vote when the Assembly resumes its proceedings tomorrow [April 17], the last day of the three-day session. Khan Abdul Qayyum Khan has already extended his unqualified support to the Constitution on behalf of his group. Other groups had suggested to the Law Minister their amendments. Some of these amendments had been accepted by the Law Minister… . After the passage of the interim Constitution, Martial Law will be lifted on April 21 as earlier announced by President Bhutto in the Assembly on the opening day. The representatives of the Opposition parliamentary groups, meanwhile, held a joint meeting in the MNA’s Hostel here tonight and discussed the interim Constitution. The meeting regretted that despite the Law Minister’s assurance none of the amendments proposed in the interim Constitution was supplied by the Government. — News agencies
