KOHAT, Dec 4: Thousands of tribesmen from the Mohammadzai area on Sunday threatened to launch an armed struggle if the government failed to get vacated within a week their land allegedly occupied by the Bezot tribe of the Orakzai Agency.

The protesters who had gathered in Mohammadzai village on the outskirts of Kohat also threatened to block the Kohat-Hangu and Kohat-Peshawar roads if their demand was not met.

They demanded that the Orakzai administration should immediately abolish the levies checkpoint in the disputed area and establish a police post there because it was a settled area according to a court decision and land record. The protesters were led by Mohammadzai Union Council Nazim Noor Mohammad.
