BADIN: Two young brothers drowned in a pond in Chutto Khaskheli village near Seerani town of this district on Friday.

The area police said that Nawab Ali, 8, and his brother, Dilmurad, 6, were playing near the pond when they slipped into it while there was nobody present there to rescue them.

Parents and relatives of the boys along with some residents of the village mounted a search for them when they did not return home after sunset. They found the boys floating in the pond and claimed that they were alive. They rushed the boys to the Indus (civil) Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead on arrival.
