In a first, railway employees and passengers to get medical facility

ISLAMABAD: Serving and retired employees of Pakistan Railways as well as passengers will be provided with top quality healthcare under an agreement signed by Pakistan Railways and Sehat Kahani, one of the leading telemedicine platforms in the country.

Sehat Kahani will provide round-the-clock access to qualified healthcare professionals through its network of over 7,000 doctors to all current and retired employees of Pakistan Railways and their families.

Under the partnership, Sehat Kahani would also create special packages for railway passengers through ‘On The Go’ clinics at all major railway stations in the country where the PR would provide on-ground infrastructure-level support, facilitation in staff training, and creating visibility for Sehat Kahani’s spectrum of digital health services among its employees as well as beneficiaries.

The agreement signed on Friday marks the-first-of-its-kind public-private partnership between the ministry of railways and Sehat Kahani that would have long-term impact on the health and wellbeing of millions of travelers and Pakistan Railways workers.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by Chief Executive Officer of Sehat Kahani Dr Sara Saeed Khurram and Director General of Operations of the Ministry of Railways Imran Hayat Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sara Khurram said her organisation look forward to providing best medical services to employees and passengers of Pakistan Railways.

“We feel privileged to partner with the institution that has always been serving the nation,” she said.

The official of the ministry of railways stated the agreement would be developed into a great partnership and “we are looking forward to scale this throughout Pakistan and thanks to Sehat Kahani for making this effort,” he said.
