LAHORE: Two million Pakistani students would get e-tickets to attend the online World Marketing Summit (WMS) 2022.

“Kotler Impact has established a partnership with the Government College University Lahore in Pakistan to distribute two million e-tickets gratis to the youth,” said GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Asghar Zaidi and Kotler Impact Chief Executive Officer Dr Fahim Kibria at a joint press conference at the GCU Main Campus on Thursday.

“World Marketing Summit 2022 will be held on Nov 6 and 7. WMS is a global company whose head is Professor Philip Kotler. This company has been organising marketing events in many countries since 2010. The main objective is to provide marketing ideas throughout the whole world, developing awareness and giving knowledge about modern marketing in order to decrease poverty, enlarge business, and develop health as well as the environment,” Mr Zaidi said.

He added that each e-ticket cost $100 but it would be provided free of cost to students in Pakistan for their training in modern marketing, especially in design mindset, modelling, product development, and market segmentation. He said students of all universities and colleges will be provided e-tickets and a proper strategy would be made to ensure participation of the best minds

He said the WMS had been organizing marketing summits in many countries since 2010. He also announced that they are establishing Kotler-i Business School (KiBS) at the GCU, the first of its kind in Pakistan, saying that the school would collaborate with the local and national industry.

Dr Fahim Kibria said last year more than 42m people from more than 100 countries participated in the Electronic World Marketing Summit 2021, and this year they are planning it for above 50m people.

The CEO of Kotler Impact said that he was extremely happy to be able to give a chance to 2m Pakistani students in the World Marketing Summit 2022.
