Pakistan has reported 571 new coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours, down from 723 a day earlier, and six more fatalities.

The positivity rate has been recorded at 1.5 per cent.

The countrywide breakdown is as follows:

• Sindh: 280 cases, 2 deaths
• Punjab: 164 cases, 1 death
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 79 cases, 2 deaths
• Balochistan: 2 cases
• Islamabad: 30 cases, 1 death
• Gilgit-Baltistan: 12 cases
• Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 4 cases
