PESHAWAR, Nov 30: The Peshawar High Court adjourned hearing on Salim Saifullah Khan’s writ petition after counsel of disqualified PML-N MPA Malik Imran requested for time to prepare the case. Justice Salim Khan of the PHC, after hearing the arguments, adjourned the hearing till Dec 5.

Mr Saifullah Khan, a senior PML leader, has filed the writ petition seeking to declare him elected, besides stopping the by-election in PF-75 Lakki Marwat from where Malik Imran had been disqualified on the grounds of his fake bachlor’s degree. Sardar Khan advocate who appeared on behalf of Mr Saifullah Khan contended that the petitioner was a runner-up candidate and, therefore, should be declared elected.

He prayed before the court to stop by-election scheduled for Dec 10 in PF-75 Lakki Marwat.
