SRB to achieve revenue target, Murad told

KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has collected Rs89.95 billion against a 12-month target of Rs150bn during the first eight month of the financial year 2021-22.

SRB chairman Wasif Memon while briefing Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah said that the board had shown significant growth in revenue collection from July 2021 to February 2022.

He added that in February this year SRB collected Rs12.40bn showing a growth of 23 per cent over collection in February 2021.

The CM reviewed the Sindh Sales Tax (SST) revenue collection and expressed satisfaction over the performance of the SRB. He said that collection during the current fiscal year stood at Rs89.95bn, showing a growth of 17pc over the same period last year.

He added that the SRB was performing its job with renewed enforcement efforts. He was hopeful that the revenue target set for the current fiscal year at Rs150bn would be achieved.

CM Shah advised maximising the revenue efforts towards the assigned target. He directed the SRB to keep reconciling claims and counterclaims with the Federal Revenue Board.
