Northern Iran jolted

TEHRAN, Nov 29: A moderate earthquake jolted northern Iran on Tuesday, but there were no immediate reports on possible casualties or damage, state-run television reported.

The quake shook Agh Ghala, a small town in Golestan province near the Caspian Sea.

A magnitude-5.9 quake shook a sparsely populated area of southern Iran on Sunday, flattening seven villages, killing 10 people and injuring 70.—APP
