Pakistan has reported 861 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours — the third day of fewer than 1,000 infections.

In addition, 18 more fatalities have also been confirmed. The country's positivity rate stands at 2.3 per cent.

The countrywide breakdown is as follows:

• Sindh: 516 cases, 3 deaths
• Punjab: 174 cases, 2 deaths
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 55 cases, 12 deaths
• Balochistan: 19 cases
• Islamabad: 68 cases
• Gilgit-Baltistan: 19 cases
• Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 10 cases, 1 death
