Sikh pilgrims reach Nankana

SHEIKHUPURA, Nov 29: A group of 1,500 yatrees, led by Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee of India chairman Perm Jeet Singh Sarna, reached the Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib on Tuesday evening in 40 special buses.

They reached Lahore through Wagah along with a gold palki in the morning.

The Indian gusts would participate in religious ceremonies to be held in Gurdwara Janam Asthan on Wednesday.

A ceremony will also be held in which the present marble palki will be replaced by the new gold palki.

Both the ceremonies would be attended by the chief ministers of East and West Punjab, Amrinder Singh and Pervaiz Elahi.

Meanwhile, police have made elaborate security arrangements for the ceremonies.
