KARACHI: The CT scan and ultrasound facility will be provided free of cost to all patients at the Ojha Institute of Chest Disease while efforts are on to upgrade other medical services.

This was stated by the Vice Chancellor of the Dow University of Health Sciences Prof Muhammad Saeed Quraishy while addressing a ceremony held to inaugurate renovated facilities at the institute on Tuesday.

“The institute has been providing free chest treatments for a long time. Now, they will benefit more as the institute is in the process of upgrading its facilities,” he said.

Director of Dow Institute of Radiology Dr Nasreen Naz briefed the audience about the services being provided to patients in the institute and the challenges faced in treatment.

Pro Vice Chancellors Prof Zarnaz Wahid and Prof Kartar Dawani and Medical Superin­tendent Dow University Hospital Dr Zahid Azam were also present.
