Italy has reported 99,522 new Covid-19 cases against 112,691 the day before, the health ministry said, while the number of deaths has risen to 433 from 414.

Italy has registered 148,167 deaths linked to Covid-19 since its outbreak emerged in February 2020, the second-highest toll in Europe after Britain and the ninth highest in the world, reports Reuters.

The country has reported 11.45 million cases to date.
