PESHAWAR, Nov 25: The Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) will hold a joint workshop on the labour protection policy at a local hotel on Dec 1. “The workshop aims at initiating a process of dialogue between policy-makers and different stakeholders to prepare an extensive and comprehensive labour protection policy for the country,” Smeda Manager Javed Khattak said on Friday.
It is expected that recommendations made at the workshop will be used in formulating the labour policy.
The National Task Force, working under the Ministry of Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis, already drafted comprehensive preliminary recommendations and presented them for nation-wide discussion and consultaion.
