KARACHI, Nov 25: Four ships, including a carrier with 349 cars, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships — Farah-3, Sea Life and Iron Butterfly, to unload and load general cargo, Golden Express, to Argonaut, Y.M Fortune, to unload and unload containers, and Irika, to offload coal — were berthed after the departure of eight.
The ships, which departed included Thor Captain, Hyundai Sprinter, Golden Express, Kota Wangsa, Argonaut, Parinda Naree, Xin Qiang and Lkae Ranger, while Y.M. Fortune, Johar, Sea Life, Global Prosperity, Sargodha and Aonoble are due to sail out on Saturday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where the total tonnage rose to 0.113m tons comprising 21,178 tons of export cargo and 92,130 tons of import tonnage.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Al-Marwah, with chemical, Corin Thaikos, Nefeli-1, with containers, and Manbu, with 349 vehicles.
