JACOBABAD, Nov 16: Awami Tehrik chief Rasool Bux Palijo has said that Kalabagh dam is a threat to Sindh where 30 million people will be affected by it. Speaking at a gathering here on Tuesday, he said that today’s Pakistan was not the country envisaged by Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
He alleged that the judiciary in the country had been used by the rulers to protect their interests.
He said that according to Quaid-i-Azam’s ideology, provinces were to have full autonomy and only defence, foreign affairs, communication and finance were to be the concern of the federation.
He said that Tarbela and Kalabagh dams had caused devastations in the form of earthquakes.
He described the United States and its leaders as terrorists who were using every effort and tactics to conquer the world and cited attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq.
He said the United States was working on an anti-Islam agenda and criticized the Pakistan government for supporting US designs.
He said that the US wanted to cripple the economy of the world.
He said that the rulers should restore the Constitution given by the Quaid-i-Azam which would guarantee solidarity and stability of Pakistan, otherwise smaller provinces would assert their demands.
He demanded immediate release of political prisoners.
The district president of the Awami Tehrik, Tariq Mehmood Khoso, District Bar Association president Haji Anwar Ali Jakhrani, Sadiq Malgani and others were present on the occasion.
