Two held for killing man, two sons

LOWER DIR: The police claimed here the other day to have arrested two of the four accused for killing a man and his two sons over a land dispute in Nagri Bala village of Talash here on Tuesday night.

Talash SHO Ayub Khan told Dawn that the main accused, Shamshad was arrested during a raid immediately after the incident, while his son, Ihsanullah was taken into custody from a nearby hill on Wednesday.

The police officer said a search operation was in progress to arrest the remaining accused, Shafiur Rehman and Anwarzeb.

Meanwhile, the three deceased were laid to rest in Nagri Bala area the other day.

The Talash police said the incident occurred when armed men led by Shamshad attacked their rivals, Abdar Khan and his sons, when they were sowing wheat on a farm in the village on Tuesday night. As a result of the firing, Abdar and his sons, Habibun Nabi and Sultan Nabi, died on the spot.
