LAHORE: Justice Shakilur Rehman Khan of the Lahore High Court passed away on Tuesday. He was 52.

His funeral will be held after Isha prayers in a Garden Town mosque.

Sitting and retired judges of the Supreme Court and the LHC and lawyers attended the funeral of the deceased judge.

Son of retired Justice Khalilur Rehman, Justice Khan was admitted to a hospital in Islamabad for his cancer treatment.

He was appointed as judge of the LHC on Oct 23, 2018, and served as advocate general of Punjab before his elevation to the bench.

Justice Khan was to superannuate on Feb 14, 2031.
