Pakistan reports less than 1,000 cases for fourth straight day

Pakistan has reported less than 1,000 coronavirus cases for the fourth day in a row. During the last 24 hours, the country recorded 603 Covid cases, while a day earlier 663 cases were reported.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 43,786 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours. The total number of cases has risen to 1,265,650 and the death toll is 28,300.

The positivity rate was recorded as 1.37 per cent.

Breakdown of cases and deaths reported:

  • Sindh: 335 cases, 3 deaths
  • Punjab: 159 cases, 12 cases
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 64 cases, 3 deaths
  • Islamabad: 35 cases
  • Balochistan: 5 cases, 2 deaths
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 4 cases
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 1 case
