ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Wednesday demanded of the government to public details of the gifts given to Prime Minister Imran Khan since August 2018 when assumed office.

These views were expressed by PPP Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi, former MNA Akhwanzada Chitan, Senator Rubina Khalid and Syed Sibtul Hassan Bukhari at a joint press conference.

They said the government had destroyed all institutions.

Now, an institution like the army should not be made controversial.

The PPP leaders were accompanied by PPP Media Coordinator Nazir Dhoki and Raja Noor Elahi.

Faisal Karim Kundi said the nation was saddened by the demise of Dr Qadeer Khan.

“Pakistan lost a great personality with the demise of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan,” Mr Kundi said, adding that the government did not honour Dr Qadeer and fulfill his will of being buried at Faisal Mosque.

He said the appointment of ISI director general had been made controversial by the prime minister, giving an opportunity to the enemy’s media to criticise our forces.

The party leaders condemned Imran Khan’s dubbing of the Pakhtun nation as terrorists and demanded of him to apologise.

“I want to tell Imran Khan that the former tribal areas had guarded the borders for 60 years,” Kundi said.

He called upon the opposition parties to unite and get rid of this selected and puppet government by bringing a no-confidence motion in Punjab and the Centre, he added.

He said PPP was protesting against inflation, which had made people’s life miserable.

He also condemned the police brutality at the press conference of transgender persons.

While supporting the demands of young doctors, he said the government was playing with their future.

Akhunzada Chitan said that before the Jihadi culture was introduced, there was no such thing as crime in the entire tribal districts.
