Pfizer Inc says it has started a mid-to-late-stage study testing its investigational oral antiviral drug, to be co-administered with HIV drug ritonavir, for the prevention of Covid-19 infection, Reuters reports.

Pfizer's drug is designed to block the activity of a key enzyme that is needed for the coronavirus to multiply.
