POL says unable to meet increasing oxygen demand despite operating plants at full capacity

Pakistan Oxygen Limited (POL) has said it is unable to meet increasing demand for oxygen in the country amid Covid-19 despite operating its plants at their maximum capacities.

"This is a situation beyond our control, to which we are responding to the best of our ability and capacity. While we are doing everything possible to respond to any hospital emergency, please note that despite operating at full capacity, we are unable to meet this increasing demand," it said in a letter, a copy of which is available with Dawn.com.

It requested that alternate arrangements be made to procure oxygen from other sources till further notice.
