Health experts say at least 60 per cent of the world’s population needs to be vaccinated by 2022 to get the current pandemic under control.

“We need to redouble our efforts to get vaccines to everyone who has not had one yet,” said Head of Health and Healthcare at the World Economic Forum Genya Dana.

A new survey released by the WEF shows a majority of fully vaccinated adults will get a Covid-19 vaccine booster shot if offered, but think the priority should be given to people who have not had the first dose.

"It is vital we work to close the gap between those with access to vaccines and those without. [...] It is crucial that [a] robust vaccination infrastructure is deployed in every country on earth," Dana said.
