LAHORE: PML-N leader Saad Rafique has accused Chief Minister Usman Buzdar of influencing the cantonment boards poll scheduled for Sept 12.
At a press conference here on Tuesday, Rafique said the chief minister, on the order of Prime Minister Imran Khan, was trying his best to influence the cantonment boards election.
He regretted the opponents opened fire on a PML-N candidate, Naeem Butt, and caused injuries to his three sons and as many others, while police acted as a silent spectator.
“If this violence is not controlled in the polls, the PML-N will take to the street,” he warned.
He asked the PML-N voters to guard their votes on the polling day, so that the selected government could not rig the election.
He said the government had launched development projects in different constituencies and if it was sincere in working for the masses it should continue this after the cantonment polls.
