Two bodies found in Chagai
CHAGAI: The bodies of two people, who died of thirst while trying to illegally enter Iran last month, were found in a remote area between Nokkundi and Taftan in Chagai district on Tuesday night.
The deceased were identified as Hafiz Mohammad Bilal and Mohammad Sajjad, who along with their relative Khaleequr Rehman, had died after a vehicle driver abandoned them to fend for themselves.
Khaleeq’s body was handed over to heirs.
Sources claimed the driver dropped them owing to a dispute on payment.
Taftan Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Hussain said that the two bodies were found three days after a search operation was launched on the instructions by Chagai Deputy Commissioner Agha Sher Zaman.
He said Levies personnel first took the bodies to Rural Healthcare Centre in Nokkundi, and then to Civil Hospital, Quetta.
Mr Hussain said they were conducting raids to arrest the alleged human smuggler, but no arrest was made till filing of this report.
Meanwhile, Levies Force arrested an alleged accomplice of the human trafficker.
