PESHAWAR, Nov 2: Governor Khalilur Rehman has said that the government is in contact with the Higher Education Commission for the establishment of a medical university in the province.
Establishment of a medical university is necessary in view of the increasing requirements.
During a meeting at the Governor’s House on Wednesday, the governor assured this to Prof Dr Umer Ali Khan, Principal of Khyber Medical College, and said that he felt honoured to have signed the bill paving the way for the materialization of this long-awaited project.
In response to another point, the governor said that he was in constant touch with the authorities concerned, especially the Higher Education Commission, and in future, too, will spare no effort for starting the first medical university in the province.
