Hearing of Mehar triple murder case put off to 28th

DADU: Pakistan Peoples Party’s MPA Nawab Sardar Ahmed Chandio and his younger brother Nawab Burhan Khan Chandio appeared in model court on Monday in the triple murder case but the hearing was put off to Aug 28 due to the judge’s leave.

The influential bothers, tribal chieftain Nawab Sardar and former adviser to chief minister Burhan were accused of being involved in the triple murder of PPP’s chairman of Baldai union council, Rais Karamullah Chandio, his two sons Qabil Khan Chandio, zila council member, and chairman Tamandar council Rais Mukhtiar Chandio, who were killed in an attack on their residence in Ahmed Colony, close to the office of deputy superintendent of police and local police station, in Mehar town on Jan 17, 2018.

Besides the brothers, Abdul Sattar Chandio, Sikandar Chandio, Ali Gohar Chandio, Murtza and Zulifiqar Chandio were nominated in the triple murder case.

A heavy contingent of police and Rangers were deployed in and around the court and police continued patrolling on all roads leading to the court as long as the influential suspects were in the court.
