At least 44 more people have died from the coronavirus in Sindh — the highest daily death toll for second day in a row. Overall fatalities now stand at 5,947, according to an update from the chief minister's office.

With 2,797 new infections in the last 24 hours, Sindh also reported the highest caseload since June last year.

The province's Covid-19 case tally has risen to 377,214. A total of 20,475 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, returning a positivity rate of 13.7pc.
