At 2,343, Sindh reports highest daily Covid cases in over a year
Sindh has reported 2,343 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours — up from 1,683 a day earlier and the highest number of daily infections since July 2, 2020, when 2,430 infections were logged.
The provincial tally of cases now stands at 367,075, according to an update from the chief minister’s office. As many as 19 more patients succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll in the province to 5,833.
A total of 18,122 Covid-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, while 799 patients recovered from the disease.
Karachi's positivity rate was recorded at 24.82 per cent, with Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah terming it a "very serious situation" and urging people to follow the SOPs.
