FAISALABAD, Oct 29: Farooq Ahmad Khan, the chief executive of a beverages company, has said bottles of mineral water and essential food items are being supplied to the people of the devastated areas in Kashmir and the NWFP.

He told journalists that thousands of waterproof tents had been imported from China and South Africa for the victims.

A 50-member team of doctors was taking an active part in the affected areas for the rehabilitation of the victims and providing them with medical aid. The disabled were being given wheelchairs and other instruments, he added.

Mr Khan, also a former senator, said the company would continue to serve the ailing humanity.
