Officials in Karachi's South district have sealed at least 27 shops and imposed a collective fine of Rs43,500 on different businesses for flouting Covid-19 SOPs, according to a statement from the deputy commissioner's office.
In Saddar, the assistant commissioner sealed 11 shops including a restaurant as their staff didn’t have a vaccination certificate.
Similarly, AC Civil Lines, during his inspection visit to Clifton and Defence, sealed a shop and an eatery for the same reason. A petrol station in Lyari was also fined for failing to comply with the Covid-19 SOPs.
