The meeting was also attended by City Nazim Kamal Mustafa.
According to official sources, the meeting observed that the new system would help resolve local issues at union council level. It would not only save time and money but also provide justice at the door-steps of common man.
They decided that services of police would also be obtained, if needed. It was pointed out that these “Masalehati Anjumans” would work under the Local Government Ordinance 2001 and initially these will be set up in Dadu and Shikarpur districts.
They also discussed UNDP programme under which 1.5 million dollar would be distributed among needy people through union council nazims throughout the country. —APP
